Our Polling booth is VVIP, as His Excellency and Hon.CM along with prominent candidates for the Parliamentary Seat in Lucknow are voters.... Few things that made me happy : 1- A policeman allowed me to park my vehicle, tho initially his gesture was not very friendly, but he showed me up a slot...thnxz to him ; 2- NCC cadets from Lucknow Montessori School (booth venue) acting as volunteers were very prompt, happy to help, and guiding everyone; 3- Photographers friends waited till Tanmay came out to click both of us... Unhappy moments: 1- We saw may people carrying Voter IDs but they were told that their names were not showing up in the voter list...Alka Pande , my dear friend who accompanied me came back without casting her vote. Her ID was issued in 2007.... This makes mockery of e-Governance where one can collaborate with data from various sources, UID,Passport, Ration, Electricity, Pan card etc....... One feels hurt being disowned this way in his/her own country. Now whom to make responsible...??? Voter awareness is okay, but ensuring that everyone is enrolled is very important. 2- Some may I help you counters in front of each booths were unprepared, and spreading sheets on table, they were mobbed and obviously looked irritated because they were unprepared to deal with.... Friends, TIMING,...plz watch in your life... Happy Voting Day.......
