Our Project :) Digital images are used in human communication and are applied for many application areas. Some of application areas are used the digital image such as medical, publishing, media, military, commerce, education, and the World Wide Web. Moreover, many human are using digital images in different domains. Educators and writers use images for illustrations. Designers and engineers use images in support of recording finished projects. Specialists use images for diagnosis and monitoring.Entertainers use images in favor of making stories, and newsmen use images for enhancing text information. content-based image retrieval (CBIR) has been used during the last several years as apowerful tool to efficiently retrieve images visually similar to a query image. CBIR uses the visual contents of an image such as color, texture, and shape description to represent and index the image.We use the Dominant color technique in our project the Dominant color region in an image can be represented as a connected fragment of identical color pixels which is perceived by human vision. Image ndexing is based on this concept of dominant color regions present in the image. The segmented out dominant regions along with their features are used as an aid in the retrieval of similar images from the image database. The color represented by each of these dominant regions is stored in a file for processing
