Our Remembrance Day ceremony here in Canada is approaching - what our American friends call Veterans Day. If you look closely, youll notice that this is an amalgam of b & w photos of both world wars. And more to the point, it symbolizes current conflicts in which thousands of our loved ones, relatives and friends are now serving. Youll spot Brits., Americans, Aussies, Canadians, etc in those trenches and fields of the past..., and perhaps think of those who are now serving in the Middle East. I think of the young corporal who was shot down here in Ottawa 10 days ago while standing guard at our national war memorial. His buddy,comrade and fellow sentry will be on guard again at that spot during the national ceremony on Nov. 11 I hope this song will have meaning to many of you..
