Our Skagit Disaster Action Team responded to a house fire this morning on E. Rio Vista in Burlington. The fire caused major damage to the home and affected one family. Red Cross volunteers, Sue and Cindy, provided 3 nights in a hotel, food for 1 week, personal hygiene items, recovery information and community referrals. The Skagit team will continue to assist with long term recovery as needed. Thank you Cindy and Sue!!! We sure appreciate you and all that you do for our Chapter and our community!
