An Umbilical Cord Blood Study in 2004 blood was collected and sent to two different labs by the Red Cross. The results were contaminated with hundreds of industrial chemical compounds, flame retardants, stain repellent’s, pesticides, and PCB’s which were banned in the 1970’s. These were newborns born in 2004 in hospitals here in the United States. It was the first time that pollutants had been measured in umbilical cord blood.
