Our deck went on a diet (sort of). It was 8 feet wide by over 30 feet long and had stairs coming down into the back yard. The new deck is 10 feet wide by only 16 feet long and now there are no stairs going down to the back yard. The old deck had a lot of problems because it was old and worn out. The new deck is made out of composite wood deck material and pressure treated wood was used on all support beams both horizontal and vertical. and is therefore maintenance free.
