Our deepest gratitude goes to Mr. Mahanth Joishy, of New York City, for publishing our guest editorial Time to Bring Home Americas Arunachal Missing in Action in the January 21, 2015 edition of his online publication United States-India Monitor, usindiamonitor/2015/01/21/guest-editorial-time-to-bring-home-americas-arunachal-missing-in-action/ Shown here is a photo of Arunachal MIA Maj. Robert W. Fensler, with his wife and baby. Maj. Fensler was flying the B-24 Pregnant Swan when it disappeared into the mountains of Arunachal Pradesh on 20 March 1943. All ten men of the crew were presumed dead when the crash site could not be located in the immediate postwar years. On 20 September 2008 Clayton Kuhles found the crash site of the Pregnant Swan at a location near Itanagar. There is a strong likelihood that Maj. Fenslers remains and the remains of his crew mates are still at that crash site, but the Government of India, insensitive to the needs of their surviving relatives to give these men decent burials, continues to forbid recovery of their remains. Here are the names of the crew members: Acting Pilot: Maj. Robert W. Fensler, xxxx7377 Pilot: 2nd Lt. Phillips G. Huffman, xxxx1437 Co-Pilot: 2nd Lt. Gerald (Jerrold) E.
