Our defeat to Bushey on Sunday means that barring a miracle sequence of results, we will finish 6th in Division 5 of the 2014 Chess Valley Sunday League. Our last game this week is against London Maccabi Vale, who need the points to assure themselves of promotion, so they will be very keen to get the win. They come into this game with victories over Chesham, Eastcote, Lohana, North Mymms & Totteridge Millhillians. However they lost to Bushey and very bizarrely, Mill Hill Village. As we will in Division 5 next year, I thought we would take a look at who may be joining us next season. At the moment, it looks like three teams will be coming down from Division 4. Old Albanians (nice ground) & West Herts have already pretty much gone and the final relegation place is between Enfield & Long Marston, with the former looking odds on for the drop. Because our division will have 10 teams in 2015, the plan is for four to come up from Division 6. Holwhites Trinibis 2s, are unbeaten this year and wrapped up promotion a while ago. Brentham & Wembley are all but up too, which leaves Alexandra Park & Harpenden 2s to fight it out for the last promotion place.
