Our enviro water project officer Jo Wood spotted this male yellow-billed spoonbill (male) at Black Swamp the other day while checking how the swamp ecosystem was responding to enviro water delivered earlier this year after fire swept through the area - and things were looking pretty good! The spoonbill is getting ready for breeding season - the sticky-out feathers on his chest and the very faint pink tinge at the top of his beak mean he is ready to woo the ladies!
