Our event “What can you do with a Psych Degree?” is happening tomorrow! Last but not least, well introduce the rest of our panel members: Our PhD, Masters, Honours, and Undergrad students! Lisa Hoplock is currently doing her PhD under Dr. Stinson, for whom she is the Lab Manager. Her research examines how personality traits like self-esteem and attachment influence interpersonal processes in ambiguous social situations such as relationship initiation, social support, and marriage proposals. She has a MSc in experimental psychology from UVic. Kaitlyn Werner is a Masters student studying under Dr. Grouzet. Her research focuses on the effects of values and personal goals on well-being, and on applying autonomy support to promote well-being in a variety of contexts. She works as a Graduate Research Assistant for the Victoria Brain Injury Society, and has been a T.A. for a variety of undergraduate psychology courses. Kaitlin Blackwood did her BA in Psychology with hounors here at UVic. She is a member of Psi Chi, and involved in peer helping. While completing her undergrad, she worked as a research assistant for Dr. Lindsey, and studied abroad in the Netherlands. She graduated in 2014. David Drohan is a mature undergraduate psychology student. He has worked as a research assistant for both Dr. Lindsey and Dr. Hofer and presented a poster at SOVIPS. Since he transferred to UVic he has held two executive positions for PsychOS. He is currently on Co-op working for the BC government.
