Our family was struck by a lot of ordeals this year alone where I lost 3 people close to my heart. Manang Annie Grace passed away last April and I was unable nay our family to announce it as this would devastate our parents who were not in the best shape too. We had to carry this burden all throughout not knowing when they will know. We have not yet gotten our wits back when our beloved Uncle Val, my moms only brother passed on in life last July. My heart was crushed as moms ardent defender and team support is no longer with us. Never in my wildest imagination that there will be anything much harder to perceive than what followed next. My beloved mother to whom I cling for inspiration and the reason why I rely more on life lessons finally rested on August 5 just 3 days after my birthday. I wanted to ask God why but I ended up seeking what His will is. This life lesson is the hardest to accept yet He has made it light to bear as I rested everything to Him. We dreaded to tell our father specially as we were about to lay our mother to rest. My brothers and sister mustered enough courage and the brothers and sisters of my dad was there as well as my cousins and finally Dad heard of the sad plight. He took it all straightforward even with his present condition (undergoing chemotherapy). I am so thankful to the Lord that we were able to rest my mom, my sister, and my uncle finally in our hearts. I have learned new courage as impressed unto me by my father. I believe life challenges will always be there and it will always be overcomed when our faith and trust in the Lord is there. I may be in grief yet my heart is overjoyed that finally Manang Annie, Mama Wawing and Uncle Val has achieved eternal rest. Till we meet again...
