Our favorite fall harvest of the day - Brussel Sprouts Brussel Sprouts are cruciferous vegetables which have been recognized for their healing powers! Who remembers hating Brussel sprouts as a kid? Try them roasted and all bets are off - you will no longer loathe those tiny little heads of cabbage: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Cut 2 cups of Brussel sprouts in half, through the stem. Toss them in extra virgin olive oil, salt and fresh cracked pepper and load them on a baking sheet, cut side down. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring the Brussel sprouts after 15 minutes. Before you let them cool, top with shredded Parmesan cheese and bacon crumbles.
