Our first night without the propane-fired furnace, as a heat - TopicsExpress

Our first night without the propane-fired furnace, as a heat source, went OK. With just 3 electric room heaters, the house held at 63°F. We were expecting it to be much colder. But then again, it wasnt terribly cold - it was in the low teens. The true test will be the next few days. Slated lows are expected to be -24°F, with 35+ mph winds. We did not get started on the installation of the electric H2O heater last night. We couldnt find the MAP gas cylinder for the torch :( . MAP gas burns hotter than propane, making it easier to sweat copper pipes. If we cant find the MAP gas, well go ahead and solder with propane.
