Our friend Chris has been running our merch table for five years. Hes been on almost every tour. Before hitting the road with us he came to many of our shows. Its safe to say Chris has seen us play more times than anyone else. Hes watched us play to five people in Birmingham and a sea of one thousand in Minneapolis. Hes been there for every long drunken night and every brutally early morning. Hes been there to make fun of our wardrobe decisions. Hes been there to knock us down a peg whenever we start thinking were cooler than we are. Hes been a great road companion, an accident free driver, and in one case... a phenomenal pillow (photo attached).Theres a good chance after meeting him for the first time at one of our shows you probably walked away saying something like that guy was an asshole, but a real sweetheart at the same time OR that guy was a total prick, but I think I might ask him to stand up at my wedding. Thats Chris. The guy we lovingly refer to as Dad. The guy who once threw on a fake beard and flipped off the Gulf of Mexico, just because. Well, Dad is moving away from St. Louis next week. This Saturday night at Plush Saint Louis will be his last appearance behind our table. Be sure to buy him a beer or a shot (or both), and definitely ask him the story behind his whale smoking a pipe tattoo. We wish Chris the very best in Colorado. You should too. with love, Knife Fight
