Our goal in collaborating in writing this book was to help everyone understand the role of essential oils in animal care in conjunction with a whole health approach that must be the foundation for healthy, thriving life for all animals. This book introduces a dynamic way of using therapeutic essential oils with animals (cats, dogs, horses and birds). We believe it is time for even the so-called “alternative health” thinkers to learn how to shift attention from the ‘what‘ of the experience to the experience itself, allowing the animal to participate in his/her own healing process as nature intended. The focus of this book is to take away the fear of using essential oils with animals while empowering the pet owner to realize the importance of a true naturopathic approach to allow optimal health in the companion animals.
