Our hypocrisy is always amazing to me. Sometimes its amusing. Both publicly and privately Ive received commentary regarding the status I made about my son, and his observations about young Black Women and young Latina Women at his school. So instead of dealing with the reality that my son has observed, in some cases its being chopped up that he just wants a Latina woman or hes lumping all Black Women together, when again he spoke of his observations. My son has lived most of his life in Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC, we moved to AZ during his preteen years, so he observes young women, through totally different lenses as a young Black Man. I found all the comments interesting, because there are so many comments, statuses, and memes that talk about how the Black Man isnt needed, and how men of other races desire Black Women. I have read plenty of go ahead to your White Woman, Asian Women, Latina or whatever else type of woman comments.. Im gonna go to some of these Black Men Aint Shyt pages and see how many Black Women are encouraging other Black Women to be patient and travel because there are good black men out here. Ive seen where theyve been told to travel..to find men of OTHER races. Here on my OWN page, when some Black Women have talked about giving up on Black Men, or have a white man that treats them like a Queen, there are hardly ANY Black Women that encourage THEM NOT to give up on Black Men, that all men arent like that or things of that nature. Most of them are too busy giving them virtual high fives. Just a couple of weeks ago, one Sister commented on my status saying All Black Men are Gay and not ONE Sister checked her on it. Black Women, we engage in special pleading like a mug! Description of Special Pleading Special Pleading is a fallacy in which a person applies standards, principles, rules, etc. to others while taking herself (or those she has a special interest in) to be exempt, without providing adequate justification for the exemption. I let my son read the comments, and among the illogical, fallacious, lies and emotional rebuttals, he said that he knows that his experience is limited at the moment, but its still his experience, AND he also said that he doesnt understand why his experience isnt valid when girls SWEAR by what theyve experienced. Gotta love that logic! Its true. Again, on this page, I have seen Black Women DISCOUNT the experiences that other Black Men have shared as it relates to Black Women, but the experiences shared by Black Women as it relates to Black Women are the gospel and absolute TRUTH. Our Hypocrisy is so easy to spot, a 14 year old can see it. #TheAgitator
