Our last planned destination: PAK CHONG FOREST. This is in North East Thailand in the province of NAKHON RATCHASIMA. The province shares borders with Laos and Cambodia. This place is not on the Tourist Sites. Local Thais feel embarrassed if you ask them about it because even few of them have visited the place. 1: The WHITE BUDDHA. You have to climb 1200 steps to meet this Buddha. This White Buddha can be seen from miles away. 2: (If possible): JIM THOMSON SILK FARM. It remains open for the public only one month each year. This year from 13 Dec 2014 to 11 Jan 2015. Entrance fee is very cheap, but then like LADAKH in India where 3Idiots was shot, its closed 11/12 months of the year. 3: (If Annapurnas legs allow): Elephant ride in a nearby farm. We rode on an elephant at Siam Niramit, but that was for only five minutes! ThB 200! We are so happy. This vacation has been WANDERLUST: A lust for wandering, submitting to fate. Jan 5 2015 off to Pak Chong Forest
