Our latest update from Sam Avis!!! HI FAM! I love it here so much. I was assigned the smallest elephant of the group. His name is suk jai and hes so cute. He can stand on his back legs and do a handstand and play the harmonica and hes so great. I give him lots of treats and I clean up his poop every morning and night and sweep up after him then ride him bareback like right on his neck to the river and wash him with my mahout (trainer) named Dee who is really nice. Then we walk him around a little and I give him vitamins then feed him. I do that once in the morning and once at night and in the afternoon I help with the show that the elephants out on for the tourists that come. There are seven other volunteers with me and theyre all girls from all around the world. I really love it here so much! Having so much fun. Tomorrow I go back to the city where Ill have wifi for the weekend then back to the elephant camp Monday to Wednesday then off to China again. Loving it here. Good to hear all the updates from you guys.
