Our little man turned one month old yesterday!! I am getting so big! I weighed 8 pounds and was 22 inches the day I was born. Friday I weighed in at 10 lbs 6 oz!! Probably because my favorite thing to do is eat! How did I celebrate yesterday? First, I woke up extra early so I could spend time with mommy. Then I spent a lot of the day eating and sleeping since those are some of my favorite things to do! I did wake up for a little while to play with daddy. I showed mommy and daddy that I can sing! First time Ive done that for them! (They didnt catch on that I was singing the happy birthday song. Youd think theyd join in. Instead, mom just tried to video it, but I stopped by then!) Sometimes,I like to mimic what mommy and daddy do. If they stick out their tongue at me, Ill stick out mine! If they open their mouth wide, so will I! Its funny to see the kinds of faces theyll make! Now that Im 1 month old, I make lots of cute little noises. (I get especially excited when Im eating!) Ive been able to lift my head since I was born, but now I like to hold it up for a long time while I look around. Then I can put it back down gently, instead of it flopping around. I still dont enjoy getting my diaper changed. How would you like being exposed like that?! Plus, I hate the cold wipes! But I now only cry half the time! I love to smile!! I also love to stare off at nothing. And I really love to look at the light coming through the blinds and curtains in the morning! I also get the hiccups. A lot. But not as much in the last week. Thankfully. (I have also peed on both mommy and daddy! Im just breaking them into parenthood!) Finally, Im teaching mommy and daddy lots of stuff!! But they are patient with me. Probably because Im so cute! And Im patient with them, because...theyre all Ive got! And Im glad God gave them to me. Jonathan means Gods gift. I know thats what I am to my parents! And God has big plans for me! But dont worry, I wont grow up too soon! Mommy and daddy want to enjoy every moment with me. Even if I was awake from 11pm-1 am last night. I wanted to stay up late and party for my birthday! Ok, gotta go! I got my diaper changed, my clothes changed, and now Im ready to eat again!
