Our new adventure in the Wilson household is potty training. Kenton goes the potty room at Early Head Start with the other 2 year olds so he is somewhat familiar with the process but he has not tried to go on his own yet with assistance from his teachers or us. Our problem is how to get him to communicate to us that he needs to go since he is non-verbal. He is definitely ready since he doesnt want to have a messy diaper on and he is noticing some of the other 2 year olds in his class are wearing underwear. We are going to try a flashcard with a picture of a toilet and some sign language. Any other ideas are greatly appreciated.
