Our office has received multiple phone calls regarding attempted tax scams. The caller claims to be from FTB and tells the taxpayer they owe money and threatens them if they do not pay immediately. Luckily, all of these people have called FTB and were told they dont owe us any money and no one from FTB had ever tried to contact them. Some of the phone numbers the taxpayers have said are on the voice mails are: (916) 845-2058, (202) 864-1629, (202) 241-7818 and (866) 978-6292.
