Our order form will be available Wednesday, April 30th at 2PM Eastern Standard Time. Please read the following FAQs BEFORE placing an order. What is a Molly Bear? A Molly Bear is a weighted teddy bear made in honor of an angel baby. Molly Bears makes these bears to help provide comfort to families who have experienced infant loss. We provide one bear per angel per family. Our bears are made in honor of babies who passed away during pregnancy, at birth or up to a year in age. Who may order a Molly Bear? Molly Bears may only be ordered by a parent of an angel baby. Angel parents have experienced unimaginable loss. We want for them to be involved in the process of ordering this bear in honor of their angel baby. Order forms completed by relatives and friends will be discarded; no exceptions. How much does a Molly Bear cost? There is a $20 fee per angel to be added to the waiting list. This fee must be paid when the order form is submitted. It costs the organization an average of $45 in materials and shipping fees to create a single Molly Bear. We rely on donations to fund bear production. All donations are tax deductible. International orders and orders for bears weighing over 8 pounds will be required to pay shipping fees exceeding $15. These individuals will be contacted prior to their bear being made to pay this additional cost. I do not have access to a computer. Do I have to complete the order form online? Yes. We use an online system in addition to PayPal to collect order form materials. Please visit a local library to complete an order form. Does the waiting list fee need to be paid via PayPal? Yes. The waiting list fee must be paid via PayPal upon submission of an order form. PayPal does accept credit cards. If you are without a credit card, we recommend that you purchase a prepaid card at Walmart. How do I know if I submitted my order form correctly? Individuals who complete an order form will receive two emails - a confirmation email with a copy of the order form and a receipt from Paypal. Please check spam folders before asking us to confirm your submission. Where do I find my waiting list number? Updating the waiting list is a manual process completed once a month by our volunteers. You will be able to find your waiting list number on our website approximately 3 weeks after you submit your order form. How long does it take to receive a Molly Bear? We have approximately 2,500 families on our waiting list. The current wait time is 14-16 months. Is there a way to receive my Molly Bear sooner? Each month we offer fundraising promotions which can allow you to receive your bear(s) sooner. Please check our Facebook page periodically to learn more about these opportunities. We have an ongoing promotion explained here: mollybears/donate/rewards-program I experienced an early loss and I do not know the weight of my angel baby. Can I still order a Molly Bear? Yes. There is a section on the order form in which you can indicate an early loss. We have special bears which represent the weight and size of early losses. My child was several years old when s/he passed away. May I order a Molly Bear? Our nonprofit status allows us to serve families who have experienced infant loss. We are unable to make Molly Bears in honor of children over one year in age who have passed away. However, we have some great resources for families who have lost older children.
