Our relationship as Africa with emerging friends should not be defined by past parameters of donor-donee, slave-master, beggar-benefactor system. It must be based on true partnership. Respect must be usual and mutual. I can already hear voices of future generations asking us not to auction these resources for 30 pieces of silver. These voices must not be silenced but most importantly they must not be betrayed.
