A short break from the backbending madness to practise #handstands. Why are they so addictive? Once you get a taste of what its like to be upside down, youre hooked and you wont be able to stop! The combination of balance, strength, flexibility and focus required to feel stable and at ease makes it a pose that takes a lot of practice. Im still definitely not at ease there - but slowly going in the right direction. And loving the feeling of playfulness this pose gives me! Tips that i found most useful is to press hard into the knuckles of the index finger (as if youre attempting to draw index finger and thumb together) and into the triceps to stabilise the hands.
