Vincentians would do much better if the government focused less on the best interest of their party and more on what’s best for the country. Such an approach would enable better decision making. This is the view taken by the opposition candidate Lauron Baptiste who will be contesting the North Windward constituency. Baptiste who was speaking on the issue of Agriculture said that ministry is too important to the livelihood of the nation to be entrusted in the hands of politicians who does not have a clue as to what is happening in the Ministry of Agriculture. Having a minister to manage such a crucial ministry who is forced to learn by trial and error only serves to further undermined the national economic agenda and national politics, , Baptiste further stated.
