Our sisters OF ALL RACES in Texas use their week-ends to sign up - TopicsExpress

Our sisters OF ALL RACES in Texas use their week-ends to sign up other voter registrars. It took us one year to reach 18,000 voter registrars, and now the goal is for each person to sign up ten more registrars. Then there will be 180,000 voter registrars. There have been more than 160,000 donations to the Wendy Davis for Governor campaign. There has been no bloodshed. A few women were drug out of the Capitol building kicking and screaming, but when mostly women (and some of the men who love them) fight back, they simply organize, galvanize and mobilize. This is how you do it. Just kick the oppressive Republican SOBs out of power. Texas women setting the example for the rest of the country in a non-violent way. 10 register 10 register 10 register 10 more. Each person does their share and well have it. The same needs to be done to elect Sandra Fluke in California and other progressives nationwide. #standwithSandra Were down to this which is what we should have been doing in the first place. It is our duty as American citizens to put in the good boys and girls and take out the bad ones, as often as is necessary. The enemy is only voter lethargy and ignorance of civic duties - two things that we can overcome. Laws can be changed, lawsuits and initiatives won, good people elected when enough people roll up their sleeves and pull on the same rope. Its a tug of war of power and the enemies come in all colors, but most of them are extremely rich and understand that all they need to do to hold the jailers keys is to put THEIR candidates into elected offices. Were onto that game and we can show the assholes how its played, can we not? The last time that we saw civil rights progress was when an Irish Pres taught a black man how to take teams into neighborhoods and a Latino attracted the attention of university students. John Kennedy, Cesar Chavez, and M.L. King made historic strides when all races joined together. We havent had much since because of all the ignorance and division. But in Texas, the lessons of our ancestors are in full operation now and because women are expert organizers, it is happening so far without blood shed. Take it all the way! cdn0.dailydot/cache/3a/b5/3ab54a77b4b344bc441902c084c2fd61.jpg Trisha Lynch Kitty Katherine North Rosemary Duenez Lucy Cartagena Martinez Walt Stawicki Lee Nelson Ken Williams Cindy Sheehan Jan B.
