Our very own Keith Weidner was recently interviewed by WEAR ABC 3 News, Pensacola regarding the use of body cameras by police. Keith has handled numerous police misconduct cases in his career, and he believes that body cameras are a move in the right direction. Video is often the best evidence of what actually transpired between a police officer and a citizen. If encounters with the police occur as the police often describe them, the Police should have no issue with video. In the rare situation where someone is upset with the police and falsely accuses the police with misconduct, video will disprove the false accusation and exonerate the officer. Video is good for both sides .
