Our veterans have seen and dealt with a lot of crap and kicked a lot of tail. Their families have dealt first-hand with the effects of war, deployments and relocations. I love being a part of a church that cares for our servicemen and women, their families, and the communities in which they live in. I have seen so many stories of military families in our church who have experienced emotional, spiritual and psychological healing, restoration of marriages on the brink of divorce and connectedness while spouses were deployed. I have talked to countless families who receive orders to states and countries where there isnt a LifeChurch location. Ive heard how much they will miss the church, the people, serving and their LifeGroups, and still how excited they are to stay connected to their church via Church Online. We have seen the young OEF Veteran walk into church because a hospital chaplain invited him to church after after attempting to end his life. He surrenders his life to Christ, joins a LG and is growing in his faith. Christ and Christ only. This is why we do what we do. We do anything short of sin to reach those far from Christ. We create an environment that welcomes people from all walks of life and introduces them to the message of Christ, his hope and healing. We believe true restoration happens through relationships. That can happen through LifeGroups, serving with others, and partnering with organizations like LifeTroops. To the many veterans in our church and in our community, we say thank you and if you dont have a church home, know that you are welcome here, just as you are.
