Out On The Pike Tuesday, February 18,2014. Yeah, Im late, and not fashionably late either. Like tardy for school late. Oh, and where was I yesterday? Lets just say that being awakened in the morning reliving a traumatic experience in your life is a bit traumatic. That was coupled by a low grade fever and lots of osteoarthritis pain. Today is another day and Im feeling a lot better this morning. From the porch: Look everyone! Its melting! Clear sky with stars, no wind to speak of, and 32f/0c. Its a nice to see, but they are saying we may have more snow coming? And we are going to have some big thunderstorms? Thats just great, but well take the warmer weather in a heartbeat even if it is raining. We dont have to shovel rain. I shoveled a great deal of snow after that last burst and Im done with that for a while. The interstate is doing a fine business this morning and the pike has had some light early morning drivers who are all minding their manners this morning. Plans for the day: Were off to Tri-High school to see Mr. Benson and finish withdrawing Elizabeth from school and then to the New Castle public library to pay for a book that she stole. After that we will head to Hagerstown to get our taxes done. When we return to the house we will have the daily routine and I believe that is about all, unless of course Ma has something up her sleeve. Books and movies: We are all reading the same old books. We watched Dr. Who on BBC, a couple of documentaries on Netflix; Done the impossible! And The People VS George Lucas. After that it was Almost Human on Fox 59. We called it quits after that. It was a very long day. This is going to be short today. I dont have much else in mind to talk about this morning and I need more coffee, a mini bagel with cream cheese please, and then a hot shower.
