Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta Grand Opening The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta will be celebrating its Grand Opening July 17th-21st. The City of Woodstock would like to inform residents, motorists and patrons that they can expect increased volumes of traffic in the area of Woodstock Parkway and Ridgewalk Parkway during this period. Please note the change in traffic patterns in the area during the grand opening event. Access to the shopping center will be from Ridgewalk Parkway and the Rope Mill Road round-a-bout only. Upon entering the shopping area, all traffic will travel in a counter clock-wise direction. Offsite parking, with a shuttle, will be available just past the Ridgewalk Parkway/Woodstock Parkway intersection on the south side of Ridgewalk Parkway. After initially being denied by the Georgia Department of Transportation, the City and the Outlet Shoppes of Atlanta recently received approval from GDOT to install traffic signals at the Interstate 575 on/off ramps at Ridgewalk Parkway. The new signals are being installed at least a year sooner that GDOT would typically approve. A key component of the signals was backordered, which has resulted in the installation now being scheduled to be completed in late August/early September. Woodstock Police and private security will be on hand to direct traffic and assist motorists where needed. Please be patient and use caution in the area. Jeffrey Moon, City Manager City of Woodstock
