Says: I would like to discuss a very important aspect of life I simply call SUCCESS. I can remember very early in my life listening to Earl Nightingale on the radio. Earl along with Paul Harvey would always work their way into my mind. I think it started with their distinctive voices and then began to spread through the content. Their stories were always concluding in some type of SUCCESS. They had the natural ability to capture your attention and then deliver a positive uplifting message that would stick with you for centuries. I can remember a definition that was giving by Mr. Nightingale that was written by Ralph Waldo Emerson. I spend many hours trying to memorize this and I has always been a part of my self help structure. You see if you expect to ever be successful you MUST TAKE THE TIME TO CREATE SUCCESS IN YOUR MIND. Action is the key and will continue to direct you to the land of dreams. The story goes like this: TO LAUGH OFTEN AND MUCH; TO WIN THE RESPECT OF INTELLIGENT PEOPLE AND THE AFFECTION OF CHILDREN; TO EARN THE APPRECIATION OF HONEST CRITICS AND ENDURE THE BETRAYAL OF FALSE FRIENDS; TO APPRECIATE BEAUTY, TO FIND THE BEST IN OTHERS; TO LEAVE THE WORLD A BIT BETTER, WHETHER BY A HEALTHY CHILD, A GARDEN PATCH OR A REDEEMED SOCIAL CONDITION; TO KNOW EVEN ONE LIFE HAS BREATHED EASIER BECAUSE YOU HAVE LIVED. THIS IS TO HAVE SUCCEEDED. One of the techniques I have always used is to GIVE SINCERE RECOGNITION. I have many young people to come up and want to show me a card trick. It is quite satisfying to have someone to recognize your labor of love and to want to impress you with what they have learned. I see it as the utmost of respect. On the other hand I feel that whenever you give your friends and associates sincere recognition, you are, in essence, showing them how to like themselves more. If you remark on something which escapes most people, you will increase your impact. It takes little imagination to compliment someone on his appearance..... although thats nice too...... so the creative person looks for less obvious qualities. For example, you might notice someones sense of humor or ability to attract friends. By taking time to remark on attributes which are far too often overlooked by others, you are saying in effect, I really notice you as a PERSON, thereby giving that person a reason to like his or herself more. By helping others build their self-esteem and making them feel comfortable and secure, they become more friendly. This all goes back to what I said earlier; in order to think well of others, you must first think well of YOURSELF. KNOWING what pleases you and increases your self-confidence provides some excellent clues as to how you can make others feel self-confident. Someone observed, quite astutely, that when we look at our world and see GOD and good in everything and everyone, our world looks back at us with the same attitude. Being able to entertain people with magic is my ticket to getting to know people. I must say that I always have more fun on my side of the show. I love the reaction and the commits made from those I am honored to entertain. My suggestion is to find something you can own and be great at. It could be anything from Golf to painting. Just find something and enjoy the feelings you get from others and at the same time bringing joy to their lives. Quit complaining and dealing with drama and hurtful practices. Your happiness and success starts with your attitude. The great end of life is not knowledge..... but ACTION......
