Over 1,000 APC Members In Supporters Of Atiku Defect To PDP In Gombe State As the season of defection gains momentum, over 1,000 members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in support of Atiku. have defected to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State, reports todayngr. The defectors which cut across many groups were made up of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakars supporters. Chairman of the defecting APC members, Alhaji Babawuro Barambu said they left APC due to gross injustice, lack of trust and betrayal among those at the helm of affairs. Women Leader for the defectors, Hajiya Baby Gafar said they were decamping because those who perpetrated autocracy and oppression in the ruling party are now the leaders of APC in the state and the same scenario is now repeating itself; even more than it were in the PDP. Alhaji Haruna Datti, spokesman of the defectors said their decision was based on the mutual understanding with the former Vice President, having told him they cannot get along with untrustworthy people and leaders. Receiving the defectors, Chairman of PDP in Gombe state, Shuaibu Baba Sabulu directed the immediate registration and issuance of membership cards, stating the PDP does not discriminate, oppress or deceive people.
