Over 20 years ago my friend, the late David Maker, came over with an E.T. Atari 2600 cartridge when he discovered my old 2600 was still working (AT THAT POINT IT HAD BEEN A DEAD FORMAT FOR 12 YEARS). We couldnt get the damn thing to move because I think you had to have 2 joysticks, and I only had one working joystick left (and I MIGHT be getting it mixed up with the RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK game, which he also brought over that night). I remember it took forever for the opening page to load, which was beautiful compared to the crappy graphics (even by Atari 2600 standards) of the actual game. Now its the PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE of software. Did you get the Maker/Bullbear 2600 carts Kenwick David Cook? shout outs to Andrew Hicks and Jameson Phoenix. And yes, I was not only the first generation of what would degrade into Goth but also a first generation gamer (I owned the first home Pong machine when they came on the market in the late 1970s and I was an early adapter of the Commodore 64 - but in 3 years I still havent beaten Mario Cart.)
