Over 33K overseas voting-related services processed in Saudi ABS-CBNnews Posted at 01/09/2015 4:12 PM MANILA – The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh has facilitated 33,000 overseas voting (OV)-related services and conducted 14 outreach missions all over Saudi Arabia in 2014. Since overseas voters’ registration began on May 6, 2014, the embassy facilitated 32,988 OV-related services for 2014. For the same period, a total of 31,898 new OV registrations/certifications were facilitated. The 14 outreach missions in Al Khobar, Jubail, Hofuf, Hail and 2nd Industrial City in Riyadh were held to bring overseas voters services closer to all Filipinos in Saudi Arabia. “I invite all qualified Filipinos who are not registered as overseas voters to register as overseas voter and exercise your right to suffrage during the elections in 2016. There are only 11 months to go before the end of registration period,” he said. Filipino overseas voters will be able to vote for the positions of President, Vice President, 12 members of Senate and one Partylist sectoral representative during the 2016 national elections.
