TRUTHHEALS 2-the truth is new (the re-instituted old) THE TRUTH IS THE NEW (THE RE-INSTITUTED OLD) 2 Corinthians 11:3-4, “If there is a revelation for the people of the end, where is it and why are you discarding it?” One would naturally have thought that the truth is always the old and that the new is the lie; the heresy that the scripture already foretold and we have so much dreaded. Are we very sure we are not the heretic? If Jesus was accused of heresy all is life by religious sect of people and leaders and we are to follow his foots steps, where then is our criticism? Doesn’t Luke tell us of Jesus? “…behold, this child is appointed and destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign that is spoken against” Luke 2:34 If Jesus is our perfect example, then where is the “speaking against?” “If Jesus had preached the same message we preach these days, he would never have been crucified!” (Probably religious people would have bought him a jeep and built him a mansion to match). Now, that is a very easy puzzle to solve. Truth is, at the introduction of every era, when God wants to introduce something new, the tools HE uses, the Apostles of that new era always meet with persecution, and oppositions and trials and that was what Jesus and all of his apostles faced. If God is still raising new apostles (which I know you certainly believe from ) they too MUST face the same. Little wonder the sign that follow true apostles is sufferings. (Miracles and wonders are not signs for some special people, but for the general community of believers. First, you must know before we start looking at all the texts above that: 1. There is a revelation for the people of the end (), and if it’s a revelation, it has got to be New, Strange, Thought-provoking, Opposition-suffering, Remnant-accepting, Holy Spirit anointed for Pulling down of the PROUD DISCARDERS, and Rising up HUMBLE BELIEVERS. 2. There are three eras (In respect of this discussion), The era before the law, that is of promise (in which Abraham existed), The era of the law (in which Moses was the entryway and in which he existed and also the prophets; major and minor) The era of BETTER promise: the era of Christ (in which John; the Baptist was the entryway and Jesus was the founder of). WE NOW EXIST IN THIS THIRD ERA. 1. 3. The Bible clearly states the attributes of false teachers. Do you know them? It’s very funny how people hurriedly criticize what they know nothing about as wrong as heretic. You must know something inside out before your assessments of it becomes right. How can you go fight a city without first counting the cost, or build a house without first counting the cost. How? People know their spiritual leaders more than they know the bible. I hear people continually use the phrase “My pastor said”, “My papa said” and this goes on for hours without even a mention of “Jesus said” or “the bible says” isn’t this something to cry about? Have you not of late noticed that there are more messages about prosperity and financial blessings when the bible clearly states that these false teachers have their God has their belly (Philippians 2) and out of the abundance of the heart their mouth always speak of divine abundance and unstoppable prosperity. I suggest we study the scriptures to note the characteristics of the false teachers before we start labeling the apostles of the end-time message as one. YOU WILL NEVER KNOW THEM BY WHAT THEY TEACH BUT BY THEIR FRUITS Now, let’s look straight into the scriptures. I suggest you humbly ask the Holy Spirit to shed his light into your spirit and give you illumination. Just take some time out to do that before you continue with this script. God bless you as you do so! Which comes first: a doctor or a disease (sickness)? I want to believe you would agree with me a disease or sickness comes first. Until there is a disease or sickness, a doctor is insignificant! If you don’t have a sickness or a disease, you actually don’t need a cure or a healing as the case may be and thus, you don’t need a doctor. The bible clearly states that heresy will abound, that they which are approved might be made manifest. Heresy comes first, then the approved. Who are the approved and who approved them? The bible also says: “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” AMPLIFIED BIBLE The approved are those who have studied (not read, cram or can fluently preach) the scriptures very well. God approves of them. “Study to show thyself approved unto God…” These set of people have developed a deep study life to show unto God not because they have a bible study to teach or administer and so come with a long jotter of things they’ve jotted down in the course of “study”. The bible says that the disciples should take no thought for what they would say but that whenever they open their mouth, they would be filled. These guys don’t study because they have a quiz to win but they are always bible-wordy in so great a manner that they cannot but say something about what they have seen and discovered despite their not being accepted and their being criticized. “…a workman…” He is known to bring solutions, not add confusion to the issues on ground. He is always called upon because he is a workman. Titus 1:7-9 clearly states their characteristics. One of it that should catch our attention is the phrase “…and keeping himself in hand”, that is making himself available and trustworthy. You don’t sign forms or go through a secretary, or necessarily have to wait for an appointment to see him. He readily burns away his life to serve others. He does this to be rewarded in his account which would be activated in the world to come. His motivation for this uneasy task is first, for what his Lord and master would think of him and then because of his passion for souls. He is a true teacher of the word, not a false teacher, for his God is not his belly! ” …that needed not to be ashamed…” Shame is the closest attribute to failure. After failure, you have the likes of discouragement, disappointment, despair, and the other “dis-“ This one never leaves a challenge unaccomplished because he is so knowledgeable and skilled he is never taken aback by any problem at his work. Does that mean he is omniscient? NO! He only has the spirit of the omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent! He’s always up to date…ALWAYS. He is like a son of Issachar, knowing the changes in the times and as an eagle, he knows the right wind and soars with and in it! He is always fresh. He is not the archaic, ancient, outdated, out-of-date, old-fashioned, outmoded, and prehistoric, behind the times, antediluvian Christian that fails to learn, let alone come to the knowledge of the truth. He let’s go of the old, reaching out for the new…he sees himself as not yet attained but as one who still has a lot to learn. He is teachable, even though he knows so much. Have you ever, being a university lecturer, had the opportunity to teach people from the interior, local and very rustic areas of a hamlet? I bet you would have serious compromise issues. You better not get in the way of their age-long fables, superstitions and traditions. You might leave the place badly beaten! These are the attributes of religious people. They are ever “learning” as it were but never coming to the knowledge of the truth, let alone become teachers and reliable workmen. I bet you, if such goes out pretending to be a workman; he’s a disaster going somewhere to happen. If he has results, just wait his results; despite the fact that they would remain physical and thus perishable would soon seize. It’s a matter of time before shame sets in! ”…rightly dividing the word of truth” The problem is not “dividing the word of truth”. Anyone can do that even with the attendant physical “miracles” or “illusion” taking place the issue is ”rightly dividing the word of truth” I know several questions would at this time arise in your hearts; how then do we know the word has been rightly divided? Good! Don’t be in a rush! Beware of the concision (the spiritual concision) Philippians 3:2. Concision is from the word concise which means: shortness, briefness, brevity, etc. (the connotative meaning in the text given above means circumcision as a law for acceptance into the physical “holy” community of Israel. [THE LAW OF MOSES, THE LAW OF CONDEMNATION AND DEATH]) As we move ahead in our study, the Holy Spirit in his divine mercy and grace would lead us to that point. Amen. Back to our discussion, the word of truth must be rightly divided. Don’t be carried away by the Excellency of speech, the oratory, the motivational skills, and the stylish presentation that is being used in the “dividing the word of truth”. Make sure it: Conforms to the bible. There should be several verses (not one) of the scriptures that agrees with what has been thought, It must agree with the three angel messages of revelation chapter 14 Would be well discussed in upcoming posts. Points out your errors and advocate a change for the better. Arrogates honor to the author and finisher of our faith ONLY and it give room for no man whoever it is to glory. A man might appear humble but his actually a ravaging wolf. The spirit or effect of what he teaches would point the way to who he really is. when all his followers remember and point to his him and how well and greatly God has been “using” him and not leave the place of this teaching sober, with their attention focused more on God, then there is a big problem. The list is inexhaustible in this post If a workman keeps to his archaic method of doing things, times would not, and so will the products he has been trained to handle. He would soon be confronted with the challenge he would not be able to handle because the knowledge he needs to achieve his workmanship is currently too high for him. Proverbs says “Knowledge is too high for a fool” Who is a fool? Proverbs says “a fool despise knowledge”. Anyone would put himself in this horrible class of people if he refuses to open up to this end time revelation, discarding it as heretic on the premise that it’s different from what he already knows, isn’t knowledge suppose to be new? If there is a revelation for the people of the end, where is it and why are you discarding it? Jesus came to restore us,deliver us from under the law, bringing us therefore under the era of promise: a protptype of what existed before the era of the law; and this time a BETTER PROMISE. What made this one better was because it could never be destroyed as was the first. Let me ask you, judging from the view of the law; when righteousness was judged by how much you obeyed the law, could you say there’s anyone on earth right now that is perfect? NO! There’s none, including you or even me; but when you “fall” as it were, did you fall to condemnation before God? The bible clearly states that “the righteous falleth seven times, yet seven times he standeth again” Does that then mean grace can now be used as a cover from the consequences of sin? NO! Grace only delays the anger and thus, judgment of God thereby giving you time for repentance. Unfortunately, this time MAY never expire during the life time of this fellow. Grace didn’t make it easier: it didn’t lower the standard; in fact, it made it worse: for under grace every sin goes to store up anger/wrath till the DAY OF WRATH! The patience of God is not slackness as some think, but HE hopes (because of grace) that all will eventually come to repentance. If it were under the dispensation of the law, a man is judged by death IMMEDIATELY he sins. Now, if God kept relating with us based on the law, I would not be typing this lines now and you would not be there to read it for we will all be dead! Now, Jesus really had a tough time introducing this era of grace; which was to deliver us from the law. The Pharisees; who have made a great deal of class and money from and through the sustenance of Mosaic Law would not take it lightly with him. And that was why they “killed” him. Please note that it was the soldiers of the Pharisees that killed Jesus, not the roman soldiers for if Pilate had washed his hands clean, not a soldier under him would proceed to crucify Jesus! The promise first existed, then the law and now, Jesus wants to bring many in the dispensation of grace by free them from the law, bringing many sons to glory, and He was crucified for that! The devil has a way of corrupting the truth and much more, has a way of making the devotees of the corrupted truth stubborn and hardened to let go of it. Come to think of it, did you think the Pharisees did not feel they were serving God? Did you think they were not religious? They honestly thought they were right and that Jesus was wrong! And while they were killing Jesus, they thought they were defending GOD! The bible says a time will come when they will kill you (us) and believe they are serving or defending God! Is the Christianity of today at that level yet? When last did you (the reader) suffer any persecution for the sake of the gospel? Are unbelievers not your best friend? If the Christianity of today were right, it would never be popular because “…narrow is the way that lead to life and FEW there be that FIND it, broad is the way that leads to destruction and MANY there be that WALK (gone far beyond the level of finding it, they are already walking) in it ” Sooner had Jesus departed than the gospel HE left us became corrupted. Paul complained bitterly about this. He said: “…they came out of us, but they are not for us…” He further said “…their God is their belly”. They want to see gain in everything they do. Most of them don’t appear like this when you meet them. They appear holy and sanctified and someone worthy of emulation. Most of these people command so great a crowd (and where that is not the case, this crowd-controlling mentality in them is not far-fetched). The truth is: THE TRUTH NEVER WINS A POPULARITY CONTEST ANYDAY. May it be known to every son of God everywhere all over the earth that; the spirit of Pharisees of the days of Jesus is still much around! If that’s not true, then, what sect of people was Jesus referring to as going to kill us in the name of serving God, who? The truth has been corrupted for the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. It’s all mainly for financial gain, pride of control and forceful rulership! And all those who are the very faithful of these corruptions would kill anyone who tries to deliver them from this shackle of mere religion. They are the wolves Jesus warns us against. HE said: “…they will scourge you in THEIR SYNAGOGUES…” Ooooh! So Pharisees are owners of synagogues, isn’t that rather strange! Try delivering people from the shackles of religion today (just has Jesus wanted to deliver people from the shackles of the law, of the Pharisees, of religion) and you will die the death of Jesus in the hands of the Pharisees (in the hands of the greedy general overseers, founders, bishops and arch-bishops etc). In fact, innocently devoted “church” members who you are trying to deliver would be the major perpetrators of the persecution cum crucifixion. If you at this point refer to the statement of Paul saying “hold fast to what you have been taught and don’t look to the right or to the left”, then my question to you is; Do you currently obey what Paul taught? Do you obey the Bible and your obedience is totally complete and free from the influence of civilization and “How things are!” I discussed this with someone one day and he kept chorusing the fact that all I discussed was the truth but it cannot be practiced in our present day because of the present civilization and the way things are. I quickly asked him a question; Are you planning to face the same God Paul will face on the Day of reckoning? The bible says that: “…the foundation of the Lord STANDETH SURE, having this seal, the Lord knows those who are his, and let everyone that nameth the name of the Lord DEPART from EVIL!” “The Love of money is the root of ALL EVIL” Those that know that this “new” Gospel, (which is actually not new, but is the re-introduction of what Jesus brought, what Paul and the apostles taught before the falling away) would tear apart their empire, their synagogues and set free their “slaves”, the dove s in their cages would stand in opposition and even kill the messengers of this goodNEWS. It’s good, it’s new, and it’s the truth. Release yourself to freedom. Release yourself to the original, because… THE TRUTH IS THE NEW!!!
