Over many months I tried to get Facebook to allow my account. They repeat like a mantra that they need government ID and more than enough information for identity theft, all the while denying that my name is my name even after they tell me what name is my name. I have repeatedly asked that they either allow me into the account to change the settings or else to delete the account entirely so that I will no longer be spammed by Facebook, games, and whatever nonsense that FB wants to send me. They continue to ignore it and the people involved are so incompetent they actually demand government ID in response to the citing of their own VP of product explicitly saying that FB never has and will not demand government ID. I am honestly tired of it. I am tired of the profound ignorance, dishonesty, and incompetence of FB and all of its minions.
