Over the course of the last year and half, I have seen stuff. Real stuff. Anyone who tells me that corruption in Africa is somewhat remarkable or exceptional is going to get a punch in the mouth. Corruption in Africa just lacks the finesse with which it is done elsewhere. It tends to be crude, and frankly stupid. In terms of scale, degree, or depravity, however, like so many other areas, we lag the rest of the world. Doesnt mean we should condone it, given the depth of poverty many of our compatriots here have to contend with. But fact is fact. #JustSaying
