Over the course of the past month things have been moving very quickly for me. A number of opportunities have been somewhat open to me. Jobs, campaign opportunities, and quite honestly I have been thoroughly exploring the possibility of running for a local, municipal office in my hometown as early as the following month. But with age I have discovered that God has a plan that does not necessarily match up with our own plans. I have been offered, and have accepted a position with the Social Security Administration in Maine where I will be living in the state capitol of Augusta. This is a position that will utilize my strengths of working with people and do so through a program that makes peoples lives a little bit easier. It is ideal in every form, save for location in the heart of this Hokes Street raised, Hokes Bluff educated Bama boy. I will be leaving for the Northeast as early as next week. But I will make this solemn vow, there is work left to be done in Alabama for me. I will come home to complete what my maker intended for me.
