Over the last 4 years I have fallen in love with the Nova Scotia. There is so much wealth here but unfortunately that wealth doesnt often transfer to economic gains. NS is a creative hub filled with talent that always amazes me. The sense of warmth, community, and hospitality shows itself where ever I have journeyed on the East Coast. This week the Community Foundation of Nova Scotia released a report that indicated that 1 in 5 youth in Nova Scotia are struggling with food insecurity, 1 in 4 are dealing with symptoms of depression, and 58% of youth had been victims of bullying. There were many more really shocking stats but these were some that really jumped out at me. These stats make me angry!!! Over the last few years I have heard people refer to NS as a dying province, let me remind you, words have life. All of these things are not set in stone. We have the ability to change and impact our communities by getting involved by sharing our knowledge, experience, and time. Lets start speaking life back into Nova Scotia #speaklove #novascotialove #wordshavelife
