Over the last few days I have read and heard displeasure about the outcome of the trial in Florida. God only knows how this has affected the mother and father of Trayvon Benjamin Martin. To inact radical change within the system we have to collectively become part of the system and allow your voice to be heard. Social media does not bring change in Legislative Halls across America but if 5000 concerned people showed up at Legislative hall you would get the attention of the individuals that pass these laws. The days are over for trying to dodge your way out of jury duty, its time to do your part. Its starts with who you see in the mirror each and every day. When we can learn to respect ourselves and be able to unite in unity is when the world will look at us different. More black men kill more black men than any other race. How can anyone take us serious when we ourselves cause so much destruction in our own neighborhoods. SELF DESTRUCTION will keep us in the bottom of the barrel. Its time to take our streets back, our kids back, our nieghborhoods, our parks, our schools, our Rec centers and our homes. Rallying at Rodney Square isnt gonna bring change, NO ONE IS LISTENING BUT THE PEOPLE THERE. Lets rally at City Council, School Board Meetings, Legislative Hall, Family Court, Police Stations wherever wrong has been done thats were we need to be. I need all these so called high profile Pastors to take the church to the streets of Wilmington, I need all these ground root organizations (NAACP, IMAC and others) to be at the forefront. You have been silent to long, its time to be heard. Put down the titles and the fame and learn to work togother for the betterment of our people. Its time and the Time is NOW.....I am just one person but IJS
