Over the last two weeks, I have had several large events going on both in and out of the restaurant! It has been needless to say, hell :). The Yards Bruncheon opened! The Wandering Table will be opening shortly. I had two separate events for EWU Libraries Annual Fundraiser - Oktoberfest - an hors d oeurve party and a 10 course literary dinner! We had two appetizers for Hospice of Coeur dAlene, Idaho at Hayden Lake Country Club and of course - it is Valentines Day week and weekend! Throughout all this, I did my best to spend time with my family of puppies, wonderful girlfriend Brooke Wilson and her amazing daughters. The Cellar at 317 sherman experienced some of its greatest promotions and the busiest Valentines Day to date! All this, going on at once. But none of this is possible without support. I am so grateful for my network of support. The cooks of my kitchen worked their asses off to make the restaurant flow with finesse and grace. My family showed me great love and support in allowing me to work so much during this time. My brother Alex Stoy gave me his full dedication and assistance in my events as well as two of his student peers, Mike and Cion. My fellow chef Jared Angele worked tirelessly to take on more kitchen responsibility to allow me time. My mentors, Adam Hegsted, Bill Morris, Jim Campbell, Peter Tobin all showed me the way and provided me the tools to succeed. A Chef may be the face you see, but it is his or her support that grants them success. I am very excited for my opportunities that come to me, but have an even greater appreciation for my support that allows me to participate. Without you, there is no me. A great Chef mantra. A Chef thrives on community and teamwork. Thank you very much for the support my friends!
