Over the last two years in just one city, HSI project partner Education for Nature - Vietnam (ENV) has documented more than 34.3 tonnes of pangolin scales and frozen pangolin meat seized by authorities. The illegal trade of this beautiful and endangered animal is out of control, and theres much to be done in Vietnam to increase awareness of the plight of the species. To get things started, ENV have just released this public service announcement to be broadcast on over 50 television channels across Vietnam. It features popular news anchor Hoai Anh, who calls on the public to report any pangolin crimes and to recognise that if they are buying any pangolin products, they are directly supporting criminal networks.
