Over the next couple of days, I will be reaching out to some of my closest friends and those of you who are influences in the community. I am hopeful that many of you will find it in your hearts in joining me in my quest to Stomp out the Stigma associated with mental health illness within our community. Persons of color, particular those members of the AA and Latino communities find it difficult to acknowledge that mental illness does exist among us. I have recently learned of many resources that have gone untapped and I am eager to share all of these great resources with anyone who will listen. Mind Over Matter is currently seeking a tax exempt status and will take on the mission of raising awareness in our community. We are pleased to link up with NAMI of Palm Beach County and I am hoping to get many of you to participate with me and so many others this November 15th, for the NAMI Health Walk in John Prince Park.
