Over the past 2 weeks, our young, kind, energetic and beautiful friends from Appleby College (Canada) went above and beyond their volunteering duties of teaching English and doing renovation work by ranging and making out the library, painting the outside fence and performing English and Mongolian songs, plays and dances with their little students, children at the orphanage. They helped the children at the orphanage truly from their bottom of heart everyday, even though it was beyond the call of duty. Aside from that, they gave a donation to a family who lives in a ger district in the rural area. They donated this family (54 year old single mother with 5 children) food, clothes, school supply and coal and wood for heating supply. It was very spiritual moment to visit this family and to see that their eagerness to give helping hands and make contributions where ever they are. Appleby students contributions at the State Orphanage and in Mongolia certainly did not go unnoticed and it wont be. Projects Abroad Mongolia team, obviously the state orphanage children become so familiar with all of our Appleby friends and will keep all of you in our hearts and memories for a long long time.
