Over the past 24 hours, Ive witnessed a huge number of some of my closest friends suffer a near tragedy of a dear, beloved friend and family member of theirs. Now, while it might not be my place to say anything of the matter, and I hope this doesnt offend anyone; I just want you all to know that although I dont know Ryan as well as all of you, Ive been thinking about him all day, and have been actively checking friends Facebook pages for updates on his recovery, hoping to see good news. Im not the most religious person so I cant tell you that Ive been praying, but Im definitely hoping and wishing that he makes a swift and full recovery. Ive spoken to Ryan on few occasions and have chatted it up briefly with him a time or two. We really only had one moment where we really sort of bonded, and that was on the night of his birthday at his house; (I think it was his house.) I had my guitar with me that night so I was jamming a little bit outside when he heard me playing, Snuff by Slipknot. He IMMEDIATELY recognized the song, walked right over to me, closed his eyes and started drunkenly singing the lyrics to it. Ryan, youre an awesome dude, and I know youre going to make it, buddy. For all of my friends, hang in there, be strong, and look at all the love and support hes got. So tonight, Im gonna drink a beer with this song on repeat, full blast just for you man!
