Over the past 48 hours a man killed two innocent people, 2. This incident has sparked a huge reaction not only in Australia but all around the globe. 2 people are dead and its sad. But whats even more depressing is that where someone lives, what colour they are and who they are killed by are the factors that make someones life more or less valuable then someone elses. We are all humans, people die every day, that you will never know or meet. If we dont know all these people that are dying why are 2 innocent civilians more precious then 132 children in Pakistan? Why are the 2996 lives lost in 9/11, more important than the tens of thousands of innocent Middle Eastern people who have died because of Americas involvement within the region? Because one is broadcasted more then the other? I refuse to accept that the vision of a world is dictated by the media. My prayers go out to everyone who has met their end too soon and to those who knew them, peace.
