Over the past few decades there has been a revival of Confucianism - TopicsExpress

Over the past few decades there has been a revival of Confucianism in China. A philosophical and intellectual tradition unfamiliar to many in the West, Confucianism is deeply rooted in Chinese culture and society. To highlight the significance of this tradition a delegation from the International Confucian Association will reflect on Confucianism in China and its rise amongst the Chinese diaspora in South-East Asia. The delegation will discuss a variety of issues, including: • The messages of the Chinese Classics • What is unique about the Chinese Classics • How do the Chinese Classics shape East and South East Asia • Developing Asia Literacy This event takes place on Thursday, September 5 at Dyason House, 124 Jolimont Rd East Melbourne. The evening starts at 6pm. Snacks and refreshments will be served.
