Over the past months, I wanted so badly to ask Jenna to cut my hair. For a little more than a decade, she has graciously trimmed my slowly receding hair. Two Saturdays ago, Jenna smiled when I asked her if she could give me a haircut. She noted that she was unsure how it would turn out, and she anxiously asked what I would do if something went wrong. I would gladly wear bald spots or high hairlines as long as you try. After running to get all of the materials needed, I spent the next hour proudly watching Jenna slowly and carefully move around me with clippers and scissors. Her hand movements were familiar, and the attention to detail reminded me of the woman who had done this so many times before. When Jenna reached toward me to line up my sideburns, I asked the question. How does it look? Innocently, Jenna shrugged her shoulders and said, I dont know. I cant see! She smirked, but I knew she had done a great job. Even though shes not always comfortable taking some steps forward, Jenna does it out of love and a need to prove to herself and others that her talents remain. Well, my hair looks great, and I cant wait to make another appointment with my beautiful lady soon!
