Over the past week I have seen many, many people on here calling Michael le vell vile, disgusting, inhuman, scum and deserving of being sodomised in prison. I have however said in each case we need to keep the idea of "Innocent until proven guilty" and we should not be jumping on mob like band wagons. The issue I foresee however is there will still be those who call him guilty. Several months back he was attacked in a pub and called a "beast". Except in rare situations where it is necessary to find more victims to come forward, and this would need to be case by case, I am very much in favour of anonymity in these types of cases. The other, more worrying issue, is when something like this happens, what impact does it have on genuine victims coming forward and reporting?
