Over this last year this talk has become dear to my heart. I was newly home from serving when somehow (well, I know there was a hand in it) I got to attend Conference. After walking into the building a man walked up to us and asked us if we wanted to follow him to some better seats. He lead us about five rows away from the place where Elder Holland would stand and speak the words that have changed me: Believe in miracles. I have seen so many. They came when every indication would say that hope was lost. Hope is never lost. If those miracles do not come soon or fully or seemingly at all, remember the Savior’s own anguished example: if the bitter cup does not pass, drink it and be strong, trusting in happier days ahead I believe in a God of miracles. I believe in a God who lets us go through things that are hard because He wants us grow. We have a Heavenly Father who loves us, who sent His son to feel what we feel, so that we are never alone.
